Product Description

The new Dawes Scenic electric hybrid bike is a more minimalist version of the popular Dawes Spire range – designed with a town and city rider in mind while still allowing you to take the more scenic route home.

The Scenic has an integrated 375wh battery that delivers up to 40km/64 miles of range and can be charged from flat in 5 hours – either with the battery installed on the bike or removed using the provided keys for improved safety and convenience. The added security of a key lock for the battery gives you peace of mind when parked up in a public place.

The bike is powered by the well-regarded Bafang rear hub motor system to deliver 32nm of torque, making light work of hills and make powering along the flat ground a breeze. Select from 5 different power modes depending on how much assistance you want using the sleek and easy to use handlebar display which also shows the current battery level and speed. We’ve also fitted a walk assist mode that engages the motor to help drive the bike when pushing up steeper hills.

The Scenic is equipped with 1x7 speed Shimano Altus gear components with trigger shifter for definitive shifting, and low maintenance cable disc brakes for powerful braking in even the worst of conditions. The Innova Roadrunner 700x45c have puncture protection for peace of mind and the contact points are comfort orientated, with ergonomically shaped lock-on grips and a soft Selle Royal Freeway saddle.

The Scenic comes fully equipped as standard with a pannier rack and full-length mudguards to keep you as dry and clean as possible during the wetter seasons and kickstand for when you arrive at your destination.

The Dawes Scenic is about getting from A to B quickly while still enjoying the buzz of riding an electric bike.

Available in two sizes, we recommend Small for riders who are 5'0" to 5'6" (152cm to 168cm) and Medium for riders who are 5'6" to 5'11" (168cm to 181cm).

Delivery

We work with dedicated courier services to deliver your item to you as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Orders are dispatched on weekdays only.

Direct Delivery; available to Mainland UK addresses only. Estimated delivery time 2-5 working days. We will dispatch orders received by midday that same day and our chosen courier will deliver direct to your door. You will need to be in to sign for the delivery and bikes will be delivered boxed, 85% assembled. Final assembly should be conducted by someone competent with the basic mechanics of a bicycle, if you require the help of your local bike shop please be aware the service will be chargeable

Direct Delivery Electric Bikes; electric bikes are delivered 'built and ready to ride'. This means one of our trained, expert mechanics has fully assembled your bike in our workshop, applied protective packaging and re-boxed it for our courier to deliver it to you. After delivery you only need to make minor adjustments.

On arrival please complete the following:

Remove the electric bike and any documentation/spare parts boxes from the outer carton and take off any protective packaging.
With the bike on the ground or in a work stand, loosen the bolts on the handlebar stem where it meets the fork, line the handlebars up to the front wheel and re-tighten.
In some cases you may also need to adjust the handlebar angle. To do this please loosen the bolts on the front of the handlebar stem where it meets the handlebars and rotate the bars until it is in a comfortable position, then re-tighten bolts.
Your left pedal will already be fitted, so take the unfitted pedal and screw it clockwise into the threaded hole on your crank arm. We trial fit these prior to dispatch to ensure there is no cross-threading, so please take extra care when fitting.
Adjust your saddle height if necessary by loosening the seat clamp and adjusting it to a suitable height. We recommend that your knee is slightly bent at the bottom of each pedal stroke whilst sat comfortably.
Double check that every bolt you have adjusted is tight.
We recommend charging your ebike to full capacity before you ride it to help the long-term health of your battery. To see if there is sufficient level of charge please check the handlebar display.
Please note - we complete the same pre-departure assembly on folding electric bikes, but dispatch them folded in their original box.
